*This club is for 2nd-5th grade students and students will be notified by 9/2 if they are on the team based on applications being submitted. However, any elementary aged student can sign up for the races below. You do not need to be a part of the school running club.

-Race Registration-
- Participation in these events is completely optional and is not a school-sponsored activity. Families are responsible for registering their child and determining whether an event is appropriate for their child.
- Races are separated by 3rd grade, 4th grade and 5th grade.
*Girls and boys race together
*Younger grades (K-2nd) can participate in the 3rd grade race but should be able to keep pace with 3rd graders so it does not hold up the 4th & 5th grade races.
- Please click on the "Register Here" links below by the event date and time to register your child for the races.
*When registering, you will select "other" for the team, and you can type in "East Noble" for the school.
- Coaches will meet students at the location of the meet at the white East Noble Cross Country tent prior to the start of the race.
- We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the start time of each race to allow for parking, race bib administration, warm up and stretching.

Hickory Center Husky Hustle: Friday, September 17th, 2026 - 5:30pm -click here to register (Early sign-up ends September 11th, 2026, at 11:59pm). NOTE: This meet is the same night as our Avilla Family Walk-a-Thon. You will not be able to attend both events.

-A Message from Coach Starkel-
Thank you for joining the running club/team at Avilla Elementary School! As the head cross country coach at East Noble High School, I am excited that young runners have the opportunity to compete and race against other schools in the area. I hope your child enjoys the experience and will consider running at the middle school and high school levels in the future.
I will be attending the first four races listed above and will help runners warm up and prepare before each race. Look for the East Noble white tent, which will serve as our meeting area before and after races. Water will be available, but I strongly encourage each runner to bring their own water bottle as well.
